web design + development
North York Women’s Shelter asked Access Design to update their existing site emphasizing ease of navigation and the need for a content management system. Access Design delivered with a fresh, welcoming design that helps remove some of the stigma around accessing shelter services.
Working with Access Design made the re-development of our archaic website a pleasure. They were great at collaborating creative ideas with us for a user friendly website and were patient when we asked for changes. Access Design was extremely helpful in educating us about the content management system so we can maintain the website ourselves and offered to help anytime we had a problem. We were thoroughly pleased with their professionalism, efficiency and would highly recommend their work.

The Coming Together Project needed a creative way to disseminate their research findings on homelessness. Instead of their research findings being hidden away in a document, Access Design was able to assist them in creating a site that made their findings accessible to a wider audience.
The Coming Together project has worked with Access Design over a year and it has been a very positive experience. We were in contact with Access Design to help us to create a website and they proved to be very responsive to our needs. In communicating with the organization, they were able to accurately translate our vision for the website, in terms of its purpose and look, into reality. Access Design also came up with a number of great suggestions that improved the overall design and user-friendliness of our site. Once the website was complete, they continued to provide us with support in terms of site maintenance and small changes that were needed.
Coming Together Project

Arising Women Place needed a new online home they could be proud of. Even though they are a small organization on a limited budget, Access Design was able to include all of the essential components, with a design that is both attractive and easy to navigate.
It was a pleasure working with you throughout the conception and design of our website. This is to let you know how much we appreciate the sound knowledge, dedication and directions you committed in this remarkable work. The finished product is impeccable and has a special character. In fact, people who visit the website report that they find the right information easily and in an orderly manner. And they always inquire about the designer behind it. Arising Women will always be grateful for making us visible in an efficient, beautiful and sensitive manner.

Canadian Network of Refugee Health Centres
Must be member of network to visit the site
web design + development
In early 2009, it became increasingly difficult for a group of individuals interested in refugee health in Canada to use email to communicate and share resources. Using the versatile social networking platform “Ning”, we created an online space for these individuals where they can engage in a wide range of activities, from sending messages to other users, to sharing ideas through a forum, to posting resources in a resource library.
Exposed Photovoice Project
print design
We had the privilege of working with Access Alliance to create this unique dissemination tool for a community-based, Photovoice research project that saw residents of Black Creek use photographs to document issues present in their community.
Thank you for your all of your hard work and dedication to our photovoice project, particularly the production of the photobook. The project really benefited from your thoughtful leadership, creativity and overall efficiency. All of the photo-researchers were really happy with the way their photos were showcased, and our community partners and funders were really pleased with the outcome of the project. It was a pleasure working with you. I look forward to working with you again soon.

Re-Drawing Resistance
print design
Access Design was able to work on the promotional materials for Re-Drawing Resistance, a collection of paintings, photography, poetry and videos from South Asian women survivors of violence, their families and their artist allies.
It was a pleasure to work with Access Design. They worked diligently to prepare an attractive set of posters and postcards to publicize the opening of our art exhibit. They were both professional and understanding of the needs of our project, following up during the design process and checking in once the materials were printed. Thanks. We look forward to working with you again!

Stepping Up Project
print design
Access Design is currently designing the Resource Tool and Summary Report for the Stepping Up Project, whose goal is to conduct research and implement pilot groups as a means to improve the delivery of Expressive Arts programming for lesbian, bisexual and trans newcomer, immigrant and refugee women, in order to address experiences of violence and work to prevent violence and promote community safety.
ACT for Youth
multimedia design
Access Design was asked to create a comprehensive promotional package for the $1 million Assets Coming Together for Youth Project Launch and Meeting. We created a unified identity package for the event and used this identity across the promotional materials which included a folder package, nametags, placecards, way-finding signs, event invitations, email campaign, and postcards.
